Noa foi até uma cidade vizinha para tentar conseguir o apoio do Dr. Benizri. Com relação à clínica, tudo o que ouviu foi: "Como é que uma moça simpática como a senhora se mete numa história como essa?" e "Quanto aos seus drogados, deixe-os de lado antes que a sujeira comece a aparecer".
Voltou para casa, em Tel Keidar, revoltada. Pensou até em trair Teo para se vingar. Pensou também em desistir: "Em vez de criar a clínica vou me oferecer como voluntária para juntar roupas de inverno para imigrantes".
Mas no caminho, antes de chegar em casa, resolveu "superar a humilhação e desistir da vingança". Quando chegou em casa, Teo lhe disse "Não é fácil para você, Noa". E ela, orgulhosa, se esforçou para não chorar. Talvez Noa queira provar a Teo que é forte. Seria muito mais fácil chorar nos braços dele, e pedir ajuda.
Neste capítulo descobrimos que Teo e Noa se conheceram na Venezuela há oito anos. Também sabemos que ele trabalhou por 32 anos em planejamento, na Secretaria do Desenvolvimento. Mas Noa não sabe o motivo de sua saída. Para Noa, Teo foi aos poucos se fechando em seu mundinho: "Gradualmente ele foi mergulhando numa perpétua hibernação, tanto no inverno como no verão, se é que se pode usar o termo hibernação para alguém que sofre de insônia".
E para quem não acreditava que isto seria possível, nesta noite eles foram ao cinema. Andaram abraçados como um casal... É a primeira vez que eles parecem realmente ser um casal. Esta noite Teo conseguiu dormir, e Noa assumiu seu lugar no terraço, em frente ao deserto.

Noa went to a nearby town to try to get the support of Dr. Benizri. However, all she got was: "How does a nice lady get involved in a story like that?" and "As for you drug addicts, just forget them before the dirt begins to appear." She returned home, in Tel Keidar, desolated. She even thought of betraying Teo to take revenge. She thought about giving up: "Instead of creating the clinic I will become a volunteer to collect winter clothing for immigrants."
But along the way she decided to "overcome the humiliation and give up the revenge. When she got home, Teo said "It's not easy for you, Noa". And she, very proud, struggled not to cry. Perhaps Noa wants to prove Teo she is strong. It would be much easier to cry in his arms and ask for help.
In this chapter we found out that Teo and Noa met in Venezuela and have been together for eight years. We also knew that he worked for 32 years in planning, at the Department of Development. But Noa doesn´t know the reason why he left that job. For Noa, Teo lived inside his own little world. "He has gradually been dipping in perpetual hibernation in the winter and summer, if one may use the term hibernation for someone suffering from insomnia."
And for those who did not believe it would be possible, this evening they went to the movies and walked as a couple... This is the first time they really seem to be a couple.
Tonight, Teo was able to sleep, and Noa took his place on the terrace, looking at the desert.
